Anuj has worked extensively with Business Objects as well as Crystal Reports.
Some areas where he has stepped in to provide assistance include:
- SAP Business Objects X1 and Web Intelligence
- Security - Created users with various profiles (supervisors, designers, admins) through the BO central management console. Created BO groups within company LDAP repository. Used BO security API to authenticate against central LDAP.
- Anuj helped create Universes within the BO Repository (one for Order Management and one for Data Warehouse).
- Anuj helped connect Universes to underlying data sources (both via ODBC and native drivers). Subsequently, he helped with creating tables and schema objects including aliases, joins etc. using the schema diagram interface.
- Desktop Intelligence and Web Intelligence - Anuj has used both Web Intelligence and Desktop Intelligence to creat ad-hoc queries, subqueries and query filters against previously created Universes (Order Management and Data Warehouse) - both with SQL and graphically.
- Integration of Reporting Features within Websphere Portal: From within Websphere Portal, Anuj developed a portlet allowing viewing and scheduling of reports.

| Anuj Varma's Crystal Reports Experience
|
Anuj has worked on 4 large Crystal Reporting projects.
Some reporting projects where he has been the technical lead have included:
- Custom Report Design: including subreports, advanced grouping, custom
formatting, export to various formats, in-report calculations and other advanced
reporting capabilities.
- Complex SQL queries: More often than not, complex SQL queries including joins,
unions and view are required to extract meaningful information out of a
database.
- Export and Merge: Exporting reports to various formats including PDF, XLS and
DOC is an oft desired feature. In addition, merging multiple PDFs into single
PDF is also a necessary requirement for certain reporting applications. Anuj has
experience in both of these areas.
- Deployment: Deployment of built-in report viewers and the business objects
execution engine requires a fair amount of digging around. Building MSIs that
work across machines is another challenge. Anuj has helped clients build
deployment packages that including Crystal merge modules and important
components for making these work.
