Just when I was getting used to Windows 10 (DEFINITELY an improvement on Windows 8), I started encountering frequent disconnects and dropped connections.

Here are a few things to try:

  1. Update the driver for your wireless card
  2. From a command prompt (you may need to launch it as admin) – type netsh int IP reset and RESTART your PC
  3. Uncheck the ‘Allow Computer to turn off Wifi’ checkbox – on your WiFi adapter
