Keeping hips level when taking a shot
There are times in soccer when keeping the ball flight low is of critical importance. A penalty kick is an important example β where most misses are due to βtoo highβ a kick. Every time I see someone kick it high, I am aware of how UN LEVEL their hips are. That is βone hip is higher than the other. This happens due to an attempt to βoverkillβ the ball β to deliver a scorching fast kick. However, this also causes the hips to flex in an uneven manner.
I am by no means a a soccer expert (I just played school level soccer β and then casual soccer in adulthood) β but this symptom is universal to a lot of sports. If the hips lose their level , chances are your body is leaning more on one side β causing an inconsistency in your soccer kick (or golf shot even).
