So yeah this happened after Adobe helped Steve Jobs nuke Flash in 2011. Why I’m commenting, is to ask you what you think… do you have any idea why the whole software development world drank the HTML5 kool-aid and plunged web development backwards 7+ years, forcing companies to waste God-only-knows how much $$ and resources on reinventing everything in JavaScript so it would work with HTML5/CSS3 and STILL be a backwards jump from what was working in Flash/Flex/Silverlight ??? It just boggles my mind. The whole software development world is literally reinventing the wheel, using JavasScript, and hitting every single hurdle that was already overcome when Flash and Silverlight were developed. By the time they get done the web browsers will be as big in size as they were with either Flash/Silverlight plugin installed. Steve Jobs was only interested in forcing apps to go through his AppStore and for developers to buy Apple hardware to develop on. So dissing Flash was a necessity for his business… but the rest of the software development world… just rolled over and conceded defeat and helped mothball or kill better software technology (Flash/Flex/Silverlight) to go down this Bataan Death March to use this horrible chimera of technologies HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript.

If you have any insight as to why everyone was willing to do this. I’m interested in hearing your view. I really didn’t know there were so many lemmings in the world.
