Resolution 1

Try the following – update Permalinks in WordPress (Settings -> Permalinks).   Change to whatever different permalink structure and SAVE!  Then, you can change it back to the original structure.

Resolution 2

Make sure the XML-RPC is enabled. Search for ‘Manage XMLRPC’ in the plugins screen.   Add the plugin and ENABLE XML-RPC (if it isn’t already enabled)
